Frequently Asked Questions
-
Absolutely! No pilates experience is required. Consider trying one of our Foundations classes first, and we’ll walk you through everything you need to know: the equipment, the terminology, the positions, the breathing. Don’t worry about being ready to start, or being “fit enough” - start before you’re ready!
-
The reformer is a piece of Pilates equipment that uses springs, straps, and a moving carriage to create resistance and support. It allows us to work your entire body through a wide variety of movements while building strength, stability, mobility, and control.
-
Our group classes are intentionally small, with just six reformers. You can expect a full-body workout that combines strength, mobility, balance, and core-focused movement. Classes are thoughtfully sequenced and offer options to make exercises more accessible or more challenging depending on your experience and goals.
-
Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely. Grip socks are required for all reformer classes and are available for purchase at the studio if you need a pair.
-
We offer small group classes at three different levels: Foundations, Classic Reformer, and Athletic Reformer.
Foundations: great for beginners or those without recent movement experience. This will help you get familiar with the equipment and get comfortable with the fundamentals of Pilates.
Best for: first-timers, beginners, or anyone wanting to revisit the basics
Classic Reformer: A balanced, full-body Pilates class centered around mobility, stability, strength, and control. Expect intentional movement, thoughtful transitions, and a combination of foundational and more challenging exercises designed to leave you feeling stronger, longer, and more connected to your body.
Best for: all experience levels, especially those comfortable with reformer fundamentals
Athletic Reformer: A dynamic, athletic reformer workout that turns up the intensity without sacrificing precision. Expect more resistance, explosive movements, challenging transitions, and sequences that ask you to move with both power and control. Come ready to work—and leave feeling accomplished.
Best for: those with reformer experience who want more intensity and a stronger cardiovascular and muscular challenge.
Intensity never has to come at the expense of quality movement. All of our classes focus heavily on form and intention, so jump in wherever you feel comfortable!

In general, yes! Pilates can be adapted for many different bodies and circumstances, but everyone's situation is different. Please let us know about any injuries, surgeries, pregnancy, or other considerations before class so we can determine appropriate modifications. Often times, Pilates is the most comfortable and customizable exercise modality for people like you! Your safety always comes first.
-
We understand that plans change. Please review our cancellation policy when booking your class, as late cancellations and no-shows may be subject to a fee.

We sure think so! You don’t need to be flexible, athletic, strong, or experienced to belong here. Pilates is a practice — not a test. Come exactly as you are, and we’ll help you build from there.
